Never one to be behind the times, here at PGA we are proud to announce the opening of our newly upgraded practice facilities, just in time for the European Tour Qualifying School Final Stage.
The remarkable new development further sets us apart from other European golf destinations, as the complex now features a 2,000 square-metre putting green and chipping area, five bunkers each containing different types of sand, and an upgraded driving range with a private tee for groups, target greens, bunkers and distance markers. This new driving range can cater for every golfer, as it also features four greens with different grasses – Bermuda, bent, paspalum and poa.
The Finnish national team have already visited the complex for their first winter training session, and Head Coach, Staffan Johansson, was extremely impressed by the expansion and advancements made: “We have been looking at new venues for training and will definitely come back – this could become our new winter home“.
In December, Norway’s National Coach, Niklas Diethelm, will be bringing a squad of juniors to watch the Qualifying School Final Stage and then play Camiral’s Tour and Stadium courses. Of the new complex Niklas says: “I’ve been told that the practice facilities are among the best in Europe, so we can’t wait to go and see them ourselves.”
The new facilities are the perfect way for golfers to sharpen their game before playing the world-class Stadium and Tour courses, such as the The Stadium Course, which is ranked among the World’s Top 100 Courses.
