In keeping with Camiral’s Irish roots, here is our selection of great irish pubs in the region that we’re sure our chairman would agree with…!

Denis O’Brien, born in County Cork is now one of Ireland’s leading entrepreneurs with extensive investments across several sectors including fine golfing real estates in Europes, such as Quinta do Lago in Portugal and our very own Camiral.

The large selection of Irish pubs in Catalonia proves that  a ‘craic’ can be had anywhere in the world amongst the Irish community. Barcelona is awash with Irish pubs, or should I say Guinness, as over twenty are dotted around the city.

Michael Collins – A favourite amongst the Irish in Barcelona, this pub is located just next to the Sagrada Familia. True to Irish form, the pub welcomes the weekend with live music from Fridays to Sundays and displays a large range of sporting events.

Kitty O’Sheas is the only Irish pub in Barcelona that offers Irish food as well as a traditional tipple. The pub opened in 1994 offering dishes like homemade Irish Stew as well as hearty Irish breakfasts, not forgetting the pub’s large array of Irish whiskeys and Irish coffee.

Known for its elegant surroundings, Dunne’s Irish Bar & Restaurant is located just besides Urquinaona square. The bar boasts high vaulted ceilings, authentic wooden bars and pays intrinsic detail to true Irish craftmenship. In addition, the outside terrace is perfect for picturing yourself in back in Ireland (albeit in slightly warmer weather).

Located in the Barri Vell (old city) of Girona, McKiernan’s is a family run pub with authenticity at the forefront of their minds – the bar has been designed and manufactured in Ireland and was been crafted from wood salvaged from the old cathedral in their home town of Wexford. As well as featuring Ireland’s most popular beers and whiskeys they pride themselves in their Irish home cooking.

McKiernan’s is convienantly just 10 minutes from Camiral, so is perfectly situated for an post-round of golf Irish treat!
