Camiral Resort, near Barcelona, will be among the organisations taking part in the inaugural International Women’s Golf Day (WGD) on June 7, 2016.
WGD is a one-day event for females to engage in golf, which was born out of a collaborative effort by a dedicated team of golf management companies, retailers and organisations, all working together to engage, empower and support girls and women through golf.
The four hour experience taking place at Camiral Resort will provide a simple and accessible platform for female participants – be they a beginner taking up golf for the first time, someone playing just for fun, an avid business networker or a competitive player – and help build a foundation to support a continued involvement in golf no matter what skill level or interest.
Enric Lopez, Head Pro at Camiral Resort said: “With the growing momentum around women’s golf and our efforts and continued commitment to help promote female golfer participation, we were eager to take part in the International Women’s Golf Day, on June 7, 2016, to further engage and encourage women and girls to play golf.
“The event allows women to explore the various opportunities within their communities, including local facilities, lessons, leagues, club membership
