There’s far more to Catalunya than most visitors realise. Rich in gastronomic and cultural heritage the region is also a popular base for professional cyclists (the gentle curves of the countryside is perfect for exploring on two wheels) and boasts one of the most dramatic coastlines in Europe. Soaring cliffs dotted with umbrella pines and wild, open beaches like those around Sant Pere Pescador contrasted by the turquoise coves and inlets of Llafranc, served as endless inspiration for artists such as Dali and Picasso.
It is this same region that has inspired this year’s roster of summer activities and experiences helping you to discover a secret side to Catalunya that we’re sure you will never forget.
New for 2017 is our unique catch-and-release fishing concept on the lake, perfect for a lazy summer afternoon; professional grade flower arranging with our in-house florist, which includes a delicious lunch; and the chance to capture stunning landscapes and wildlife shots on an outdoor photography workshop with pro Toni Vilches. But for the ultimate take-home memory, don’t miss the chance to float high above it all in a jewel-coloured hot air balloon, the most enchanting way to see the region.
For food lovers, we’re delighted to introduce master classes in our banquet kitchen where you’ll get to learn the secrets of our chefs. It makes the perfect complement to our wine, cheese and olive oil tastings, as do our cocktail workshops for those looking to put a little wow factor into entertaining at home.
We haven’t forgotten the kids with pony rides, swimming classes available all summer long as well as all the entertainment at our kids club for children aged 3 to 12 years old, and of course the Sergio Garcia Junior Academy summer camp for kids aged 6 to 16 years old, which runs weekly from 17th July to the 11th August.
Finally, those of you wanting to get in shape this summer, our new Lifestyle Classes, offer personal training, yoga, Pilates, aqua-aerobics and a regular fun run, will soon have you on track.
